The protection of your privacy when processing personal data is important to us. By default, when you visit our website, our web servers store the IP address of your Internet service provider; the website from which you visit us; the websites you visit; and the date and duration of the visit. This information is mandatory for the technical transfer of the website and the secure server operation. A personalized evaluation of this data does not take place.

If you send us data via the contact form, this data will be stored in the course of the backup on our servers. Your data will only be used by us to process your request. Your data will be treated confidentially. We will not pass on your data to third parties.

Personal data

Personal data is data about you. This includes your name, address and email address. You do not have to divulge any personal information in order to visit our website. In some cases we need your name and address in addition to further information in order to offer you the desired service.

The same applies in the event that we supply you with information on request or if we respond to your enquiries. In these cases we will always point this out to you. In addition, we will only store the data that you have sent to us automatically or voluntarily.

When you use one of our services, we usually only collect the data necessary to provide our service. We may ask you for more information, which is voluntary in nature. Whenever we process personal information, we do so to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial goals.

Automatically stored non-personal data

When you visit our website, we store certain information for administrative and technical reasons. These are: type and version of the browser used, date and time of access, as well as the IP address.

This data is anonymized and used only for statistical purposes or to improve our internet and online services.  The anonymized data is stored separately from personal data on secure systems and cannot be assigned to individual persons. This means that your personal information remains protected at all times.

Applicant Tracking

We collect different types of information as part of an application for employment. This may include your contact information as well as a description of your education, work experience and skills. In addition, you have the option of submitting electronically stored documents such as certificates or cover letters.

We do not require any information from you that is prohibited under the “Allgemeinen Gleichbehandlungsgesetz“ (including race, ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual identity). We also do not ask you to provide information on any illness, pregnancy, ethnic origin, political beliefs, philosophical or religious beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health or sex life. The same applies to content that is likely to infringe rights of third parties (for example copyright, press or general rights of third parties).

The personal data will only be collected, stored, processed and used for purposes related to your interest in current or future employment with us and the processing of your application. We will not pass on your data to third parties. As part of the online application procedure data such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address is collected. This data is used to contact you in relation to your application.  If your application is successful, the data provided may be used for administrative matters in the context of your employment application.  Your online application will only be processed and taken note of by the relevant contact person. All employees responsible for data processing are required to protect the confidentiality of your data. Third parties will not, under any circumstances, receive any of your personal information.

If your application for employment is unsuccessful, we will retain the information you provide within the statutory retention period of up to six months for the purpose of answering questions related to your application.  If you elect to provide your explicit written consent to maintain and store your data accordingly, we may also consider you for future vacancies. Otherwise, your application data will be completely deleted.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an internet server to your browser and stored on its hard disk. Only the internet protocol address is stored here – no personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, allows automatic recognition the next time you visit our website, in order to facilitate your use.

Of course, you can also visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognized the next time you visit, you may also decline to use cookies by changing the settings in your browser to “decline cookies”. The respective procedure can be found in the operating instructions of your browser. Please note, however that if you elect to refuse the use of cookies, this may restrict the use of some areas of our website.

Use of LinkedIn Conversion Tracking and Insight Tag

The LinkedIn Insight Tag is a piece of lightweight JavaScript code that we have added to our websites to enable in-depth campaign reporting and to help us unlock valuable insights about our website visitors. We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to track conversions, retarget website visitors, and unlock additional insights about members interacting with our LinkedIn adverts.

The LinkedIn Insight Tag enables the collection of metadata such as IP address information, timestamp, and events such as page views. All data is encrypted. The LinkedIn browser cookie is stored in a visitor’s browser until they delete the cookie or the cookie expires (there’s a rolling six-month expiration from the last time the visitor’s browser loaded the Insight Tag).

You can opt out of cookies from LinkedIn on your LinkedIn settings page and recommend you read their Cookie Policy for more information.

Use of YouTube

We use the provider YouTube to embed videos. Like most websites, however, YouTube also uses cookies to collect information about visitors to its website. YouTube uses it to capture video statistics, prevent fraud, and improve usability. It will also connect to the Google DoubleClick network. Starting the video could trigger further data processing. We have no influence on that. For more information about privacy at YouTube, please see their privacy policy at: http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube

Security Measures

We have taken technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. All our employees as well as service providers working for us are obliged to comply with data protection legislation.

Whenever we collect and process personal information, it will be encrypted before being transferred. This means that your data can not be misused by third parties. Our security is subject to a constant process of improvement and our privacy policy is constantly being revised.

Affected rights

Please contact us at any time if you would like to find out which personal data we store about you or if you want to have personal data corrected or deleted. You also have the right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR), a right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR) and the right of data transferability (Art. 20 GDPR).  In these cases, please contact us directly.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change our privacy policies if necessary due to new technology. Please make sure you have the latest version. If any fundamental changes are made to this privacy policy, we will post the updated version on our website.
